Hi, I'm Abbie Brinker. As an artist and a therapist, I understand that therapy is not one size fits all. I believe that everyone's healing journey is unique and special, and it's my job to meet you where you're at. My style of therapy blends CBT methods with creative arts therapies, as a way to teach, emote, and empower clients. I have worked extensively with the LGTBQ+ community, underserved populations, HIV/Aids + clients, POC, current/former substance users, youth, adults, and older adults. My use of art in therapy is a collaborative process where together, we can visualize your healing journey in ways that are creative and cathartic.
Personal interests: In my free time I enjoy crocheting, candle making, outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing, and caring for my cat, Oliver.

Emotional wellbeing is not simply being happy all the time. Emotional wellbeing is about balance and acceptance.
There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are in your journey. I have 20+ years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families.
I listen for strengths and hurt places that need tending, to help you embrace the full range of your emotions to honor and every part of yourself. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to develop the capacity to live a balanced, meaningful, and purpose-driven life.
I seek to understand and help you manage anxiety, depression, academic/workplace pressures, difficult family relationships, life transitions, trauma histories, or simply that hard-to-place sense of feeling stuck, disconnected, or unfulfilled. Together, we will decide the best direction for healing and growth.
